Flood Waters Reach Downtown Muscatine

Downtown Muscatine experienced some flooding during June, but was very fortunate that only a few businesses had to close due to flood waters.  Some will take time to get back up and running, but most will be re-opened soon.  Contrary to what was reported on the local news, most of downtown was not flooded.  The flood waters reached a few businesses along Mississippi Dr. and several basements of others along the south side of 2nd St.  Those who suffered loss from this event are grateful to those who did jump in to help; clean up is under way now.

Check out our EVENTS section for upcoming events in Downtown Muscatine.  Due to high waters still along the river some events will be re-located to 2nd St. or Weed Park.
